Implementation of the EU Habitat
Directive for Monitoring and Reporting in the Wadden Sea Area

The report
analyzed the consequences of the Habitat Directive for the monitoring
program (TMAP) and the reporting procedure in the Wadden Sea. Several
recommendations are given, a.o. to coordinate the reporting activities
to the EU trilaterally and to make use of the existing structures (TMAP,
QSR, Wadden Sea Plan) to meet the requirements of the Habitat
Directive. The report is
the result of a trainee job executed at the Wadden Sea Secretariat
from June until October 2001 in the frame of the Science, Policy and
Management course of the department of Science, Technology and Society
of the University of Utrecht (NL). |
