25th Anniversary Trilateral Cooperation
 
The  25th Anniversary of the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation was celebrated at "Schloss Gödens" on October 22, 2003, on invitation of the the chairman of the Trilateral Cooperation, the Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Mr. Cees Veerman

Over 120 guests from policy, science, administration and NGOs followed the invitation to the unique meeting venue "Schloss Gödens" with its over 350 years of remarkable history. 
Ramsar's Secretary General, Peter Bridgewater, delivered a keynote address where he praised the work of the trilateral cooperation between Denmark, Germany and The Netherlands noting “Historically your three countries have been world leaders in promoting the need to establish and manage protected areas in a wider context.”

A delegation from South Korea joined the Wadden Sea colleages at the celebration and took the opportunity to deepen friendships and establish new contacts.

Ms Anja Szczesinski (Schutzstation Wattenmeer) launched the International Wadden Sea Scholl (IWSS) - an iniative of the WWF with financial support by the Trilateral Cooperation.
The pilot project has the aim to support the exchange of school classes in the Wadden Sea region (www.iwss.org).
During the breaks, there were time for intensive discussions - reminiscenes and new impulses for the next 25 years.
The exciting one and only boygroup "Maybepop" accompanied the celebration.
