PROWAD LINK-Forum

-

Leeuwarden/ Ameland (NL)

Under the motto “Protect and Prosper” the new Interreg VB project PROWAD LINK (2018-2021) aims to unlock the potential of natural areas, such as the “Wadden Sea World Heritage”, as driver for jobs and sustainable regional development. We will do this by working with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and their networks to develop nature as a brand to create benefits both for SMEs and the environment.

PROWAD LINK will officially be launched on 4 -5 February 2019 and interested stakeholders from the North Sea Region are invited to join, provide feedback on the project’s work plan and to get engaged in the knowledge partnership.

The PROWAD LINK consortium consists of 14 project partners from the Wadden Sea, England and Norway – public institutions, universities, NGOs and marketing organisations, thus pooling knowledge and experience and creating synergies across the North Sea region. This will also be achieved by close collaboration with local and transboundary EU-funded projects in the Wadden Sea, such as Waddenagenda and NAKUWA, which share the same aim by implementing the common Sustainable Tourism Strategy for the Wadden Sea, as well as by exchange with other INTERREG North Sea Region projects.

PROWAD LINK complements these initiatives and develops opportunities and perspectives for transnational long-term collaboration beyond the project’s lifetime. Stakeholders from different backgrounds and regions are invited to get engaged in the project, to support each other in product development in a co-creation process, and to enhance the sustainable profile of the collaborating stakeholders at the market, nationally and internationally.

To register, please send the filled-in registration form to Harald Marencic, Common Wadden Sea Secretariat, +49 4421 9108 15 by 22 January 2019.
